A Little Bit About Me
Bismillah ..

Thank you for dropping by!

A bit about myself:
I believe I’m easy to befriend, get along with and to strike up and engage in a conversation with. I wear my heart on my sleeve so what you see is what you get - No mind games or reading between the lines with me as I think life is too short and we should act with a sense of maturity and responsibility in our interactions, without holding on to our ego. I try to be the first to resume talking if we argue ;-) I like to discuss, debate, analyse and even agree to disagree respectfully if need be.

We are mere mortals and as such are prone to the trials and tribulations of dunya and Aakhirah. We should make duaa seeking Allah’s Mercy to protect us from painful and embarrassing tests, yet if He does, we ask that He gives us the strength, to bear the pain, face the challenges and learn the lessons with patience and gratitude and utmost humility, all the while asking that He purify us and bring us closer to Him with each test. After all, Allah has promised us that He will only test us with what we can bear.

I look forward to growing old with my future spouse, but still being young at heart, as we sit side by side on two rocking chairs when we are very old but still crave each other’s companionship, long after the desires of the flesh have subsided and relishing and reminiscing the memories we will create together thanks to singlemuslim.com

I am not selfish to wake you up from a deep sleep to serve me food when i come home, but I am happy to watch you closely with a smile at how peacefully you sleep after a tired days work

Come on lets grab each other and cook together, hold the ladder till i paint the roof, relish the food i made when u were asleep, lets laugh together, where we can overcome many obstacles and forget bitterness !

Let us seek Allah’s Mercy, His Forgiveness, His Guidance to the Straight Path, His Miraculous Cures and His Protection and seek to strengthen our Imaan, Taqwa, Sabr, Tawakkul, khushoo and face each test with contentment and gratitude and complete submission to His Will and Decree.

A Husband and wife relationship is sacred - Initially starting off as a friendship, a bond where both spouses mutually respect, share, offer, reciprocate, appreciate each other and there after progressively striving to unconditionally fulfill each others needs & desires without prejudice.

There are no couples on earth without disagreements but those disputes should always rule for reasons, not for personal ego. No marriage is perfect. The worlds happiest couples never have the same character, they have the best understanding and tolerance of their differences.

When there is "respect", “love, care and affection”,”passion and compassion”,"accountability” and “trust, loyalty and honesty ” in a relationship, a strong foundation is formed for the marriage which will see the couple through good and bad.

No one is perfect, but are we perfect for each other is I guess, what we need to figure out as we initiate communication with each other through this site.

I believe that a healthy marriage is one in which both husband and wife work together to nurture each other to grow individually as well as together, supporting and enabling one another to achieve our optimum potential as a husband, as a wife, as father, as a mother, as a family, as a son, as a daughter, as brother and a sister, enabling us to fulfil all those roles in our personal lives and even in each other’s professional lives, as decreed by Allah’s will.

In addition to fulfilling my Islamic duties expected of me as a husband, I would hope that together we could strive to satisfy each other emotionally, physically, spiritually and to be each other’s strength and comfort throughout our marriage.

May we all be fortunate enough to find spouses in this search we have embarked upon.

Wish u all the best

What I Am Looking For
My Outlook on life:

Be generous in filling your mind with sparkling dreams and be assured with confidence that you will be blessed to flavour those dreams one day with your partner by creating beautiful memories, or else, to at least die holding on to those beautiful dreams and a smiling face.

It would be great if we could share life’s good and bad without using and abusing each other for personal benefits/selfish gains - sadly a rare characteristic to come by these days

I think it’s important for one to shed ones complexities and ego and make oneself accessible and approachable for others to get to know you. Don’t be too serious about life.. Life isn’t always about braving the storm but sometimes its about dancing in the rain.

Don’t be empty…..A human being without dreams and hopes for future is like a living corpse. We should strive to enrich our minds with dreams, nurture each others emotions, relish the excitement and share the intimacy and so experience the ultimate paradise of a husband and wife relationship.

Looking for a religious broadminded, fun loving, resilient wife who will talk to me till i change the tyre of my car . . .

Searching for a kind and pleasant life partner who can reciprocate, share good and bad times together
in life as a friend, as a spouse as a mother to whom I will rush home to be with, calling out for her loudly as I walk into the house …. forgetting all the ups and downs of my work day when I see her face.

Let us allow ideas to quarrel and find their answers, but lets not allow our ego and desires to battle each other out to build hate that will leave us both miserable.

Don’t have a heavy heart. You don’t have to be strong all the time... Leave your problems with me and allow me to sooth your emotions when you are tired of being strong.

Members joining this site after a bitter divorce… Here’s wishing you the very best of Allah’s Blessings in finding your soul mate. Have confidence and trust that Allah will definitely help you find you the best match who will be sensitive enough to turn ur face, raise ur chin and smile and cherish and value what you have to offer and in return give you what you’ve been missing all along so that you both may build a happy blessed family and home.

On a lighter note, I wish to share a small anecdote to put a smile on your face and give you an insight into my family

Once my mom made a south Indian vegetarian dish called dosai a bit similar to a round flat bread - which is normally supplemented by sambar (gravy) and a chutney. Usually the dosai is eaten, mixed with sambar with the chutney being used as a dip.

My father who is usually quite lazy to serve his food by himself. instead of eating the dosai as described above, he filled the dosai with chutney inside and rolled it as a spring roll and started to eat.

My mom was so annoyed and furious to see his callous attitude towards a delicious dish she had so painstakingly prepared with such love and vigor that she kept mumbling to herself, scolding my father saying “ You are only one in the whole universe to eat the dosai as a spring roll"

We (myself, sister and my three nieces) burst into laughter watching both my mother and father annoy each other…Hope this made you smile.

We still recall the incident and laugh about my dad’s spring roll dosai from time to time. But the amazing thing is.. how with these all the highs and lows and the little momentary annoyances, how my parents have maintained a marriage that has Alhamdulillah stood the test of time. I hope to have a marriage that will mirror theirs some day, Insha Allah.

My dad is now 85 and my mum is 72. We are just two siblings in our family - myself and my sister who is a mother of three grown up girls. We are a very small close knit family.

Please drop me a line if you would like to get to know me better…

Thanks for taking the time read my profile.

Yours charmingly witty, funny, sometimes naughty and mischievous yet forever loyal
